The Rockpool looks straight out over Praa Sands, with nothing between you and the beach. The slipway onto the sand is just 25 metres away, so you can be on the beach before the kettle’s boiled.
It’s a cosy, sunny home for four, with sea views from the kitchen, dining table and sofa, a wood burner for cooler evenings and a south-facing patio that soaks up the sun. With parking for two cars and dogs welcome too, it’s an easy, relaxed base for a beach holiday.
From the parking area, you step straight into the hallway. The main bedroom is to the right, with a super king-size bed, sea views and its own en suite shower room. The second bedroom, just along the hall, can be made up as a king-size or two singles – just let us know when you book. There’s also a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.
The open-plan living space is where you’ll spend most of your time, with views along the beach and out to sea. Light the wood burner (we leave a starter kit), settle in with a film, or just watch the waves. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking in, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and there’s a dining table for four.
Patio doors lead out to the south-facing patio, with a barbecue and seating for four – perfect for long lunches and sunset drinks.
Praa Sands has a relaxed village feel. The Welloe is just across the road for food and drinks with a view, and Stonesreef, right on the sand, is perfect for a coffee or fish and chips after a swim. Up the lane, SISU is a friendly café for breakfast and lunch, and there’s a beach shop for buckets, spades and wetsuits. A bus stop around 50 metres away runs to Penzance and Helston, though a car is handy for exploring further afield.
Good to know: Dogs are welcome – just remember the beach has a daytime dog restriction from 10am to 6pm in July and August.

This was one of those places where upon arriving and experiencing the location, it was better than I had expected. 10/10 location with stunning views. The local people were friendly and it's conveniently located near the Welloe, an excellent restaurant with equally stunning views of the beach and coastline.
Lovely and chilled vacation. Positive: The location was perfect with the beach just in front of us. The cottage had everything we needed. Beds were really comfortable. Staff were amazing and gave us lovely welcome surprise. We will definitely be back. Negative: I can’t think of anything

Myself, my partner and toddler had a wonderful week at The Cove. The cottage was bright, spacious, well-equipped and had the most beautiful views of the beach. We’d love to visit again!
Schöne Ferienwohnung mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir waren rundum zufrieden: Einfacher Check-In, saubere und gut ausgestattete Wohnung und viele Infos vorab. Mit dem Auto kann man schöne Ausflüge in der Gegend machen, zu Fuß kann man direkt an der Küste loswandern. Können diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen 🙂
Praa sands is a lovely place to stay and the accomodation is right next to beach. In general the accommodation was good and well equipped. For the price I would have expected sun loungers rather than a couple of deck chairs. Ideal with our small dog,but apparently can't go on the beach in July during day.
