You’ll find lots of independent cafe’s and shops nearby. We love the Cornish Deli for brunch, the butchers for the best pasty in town and the fact you’re just a 4 minute walk to the harbour. Porthminster and Porthmeor beaches are around a ten minute walk.

We’re also an ideal base for those seeking stays up to 4 weeks. Stays over 2 weeks will receive a complimentary linen and towel change.

Please note you will need to climb two external stair cases to access the front door of the apartment block (shared with one other property). You do have your own private internal front door.

All of the property.

We are local and know the area really really well and love to help our guests find the best places to eat, explore and visit. However, we recognise that most people holiday for a break and we aim to give our guests privacy. We might knock on to check all is ok but we’re not there to hassle, pester or interfere.

On the other hand if you need us, we’re here to help!

St Ives is a really special town. With a mixed history, it’s an ancient fishing port that has developed into an artistic escape for many and is now one of the UK’s best known holiday towns.

You’ll find golden sand beaches with crystal clear waters, surfers love Porthmeor and there are at least 3 other beaches in a 10-15 minute walk from your front door.

Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Museum and Gardens are well worth a wander, both are in easy walking distance.

The food scene is excellent and you can expect more than just standard grub. From family friendly to the likes of Porthminster Beach Cafe which serve excellent food in a laid back beach side environment.

The Elms is close to St Ives train and bus stations (5-8 minute walks) but as it has parking a car is also really convenient to. We find many of our guests don’t use their car during their stay as St Ives has lots to do, if this might be you, do consider the train.

We aren’t on the notorious St Ives one way system so accessing the car park for The Elms is a bit easier than in other places in St Ives.

Everything in town is in walking distance.

There are some good local bus routes and we highly recommend exploring the renowned South West Coast Path.

Just spent a lovely quiet week in St Ives, the flat was exactly as described. Really easy and clear instructions about how to access the property and the parking was a bonus! Lovely clean, comfortable and spacious apartment for the four of us (two adults and our daughters aged 15 and 12). We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at Sam's place (or should we say Ocean Holidays, Cornwall). I would suggest this is a private rental through a letting agent and management company. Not that this is a put off, it should be made clear. The outstanding feature of the this apartment is the location, bang in the center of St Ives, within a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Porthmear and Porthminster beaches and of course the amazing shopping streets. Having on site parking is in a close second, this is ideal for not wasting pressures time finding parking and all the stress that goes with driving in St Ives. We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 Children) and found the apartment was plenty big enough, although some outside space would have been better (drying wetsuits, paddle boards etc was annoying). I would have liked the towels changing during our stay, the bath towel each had to last us a week. That said, I would recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay in St Ives. The Airbnb was spotlessly clean, very well kept, and in a fantastic location with beautiful surroundings and a stunning view. Being so close to town made exploring easy, and the host’s restaurant recommendations were fantastic. We also enjoyed visiting nearby spots like Penzance and the Minack Theatre. The accommodation was great for our children, with the option in the second room to have either two twin beds or a double, which made it very flexible and comfortable for our family. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay, and we will definitely be back.

My friends and I had a great stay. The location was perfect, really close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a great kitchen and amenities. Response time could have been a bit quicker but that would be my only complaint and wasn't a huge issue. Thank you Sam for a great stay!

St Ives

St Ives has a way of pulling you in, not just for the sea and the light, but for the feeling. The beaches are golden, the harbour hums with life, and around every corner there’s something quietly special: a tucked-away bakery, a gallery you didn’t mean to find, a lane that leads somewhere worth pausing. It’s busy in summer, sure, but come in the shoulder months and you’ll see it slow down, breathe and open up.
